But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10] For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 ESV
My best days are the ones when I have felt fully sufficient and equal to the tasks before me. Wait just a sec.
My best days are the ones when I have looked back on what happened and seen that I WAS sufficient, but I didn’t know that I would be. No, that’s not right either.
My best days are the ones when I have not measured how sufficient I was or judged harshly, or punished relentlessly, but I have just lived from my most honest self. And let the rest go. Getting close.
My best days have been the ones when I knew while it was happening that I was out of control, unable to bluff or produce any more than my best, and it was enough. Fully and utterly enough. Or….
All of the above.
Because, the days when I learn to be with all that I am, tap the power of acceptance, and trust God with my outcomes – those are my best days.
