| GSHI’s 58.7-meter 4# vessel GMG08100 launched successfully |

In the afternoon of April 23, 2011, the launching ceremony of the 58.7-meter multi-purpose utility vessel GMG08100 built by GSHI for Tidewater Inc. was held at the shipbuilding base of GSHI. The ship owner’s representative Mr. Tony, Mr. Liang Jingcheng from ABS, and leaders of Guangxin Holdings Group, the Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of Guangdong Province, the Zhongshan Municipal Development and Reform Bureau, the Zhongshan Torch Development Zone and Guangdong Machinery Imp. & Exp. Co., Ltd. (GMG) were present.
GSHI Chairman Li Tongan pointed out in his address that in early 2009, despite the decline of the industry due to the financial crisis, Tidewater Inc. awarded the contract for the first group of 58.7-meter marine oil engineering vessels to GSHI based on a strategic judgment and decision. The GSHI people overcame many difficulties in carrying out production while building the shipyard, and worked very hard on the quality policy of “keeping improving and abiding by the contract strictly”. Thanks to their great effort, we are able to launch the 4# vessel. In 2011, we will continue to build GSHI into a world-famous marine engineering enterprise with leading technology, superior management and first-class efficiency in light of the business philosophy of “talent first, paying back the country through industry development, keeping improving and sticking to innovation”, and will not let down the expectations of society.
The ship owner’s representative Mr. Tony expressed thanks for all efforts paid by GSHI for the GMG08100, and expected the young team of GSHI to fulfill new goals with their passion and power, and ensure punctual delivery.
At 13:50 that day, with the instruction of the chief launching commander, the GMG08100 was launched successfully from the berth slip in the sound of firecrackers. |
